shops catering for your needs and requirements.

the Company
Movement Audio has four shops, two, which trade under the
title of Movement Audio, one in Poole, opened in November
1984 and the other in Bournemouth, opened in October 1986.
The other two shops are Salisbury HiFi opened in 1986 and
Weymouth HiFi opened in May 1988.
Both the Salisbury and Weymouth shops were long established
Hi-Fi & Electrical shops beforehand.
All the shops have stability
and experienced staff and between them will ensure you have
the confidence to purchase from them now and in the future.

since the early nineteen eighties, we are not here just
to make money, but also able to help guide you through the
complicated maze of issues that is part and parcel of the

Mark Probin has been with the shop since 1991. He has
a great interest in music, with which he is a very keen
two channel enthusiast. He also up keeps the companies
websites.
Richard
Swannie has been with shop full time for seven years
having previously been the Saturday assistant. He is
a local DJ and as such has a lot of experience and knowledge
of Pro-Audio Equipment.
Stuart
Oxbrow-Trim has recently re-joined the company &
has over 20 years of experience within the industry
at all levels. He brings a wealth of knowledge &
his passion for music first, allows customers to realise
their equipment’s full potential with ease.

Joined us
in 1998, since then he has become expert in the areas of
plasma TV and home-cinema. Having installed many of our
larger systems he has gained invaluable knowledge in this
area.
With
our demo room having gone complete renovation,
you can now listen to High-end Hi-Fi and view Plasma Panels
in comfortable surroundings.

Pete
Christie (Manager)
Having been involved with Movement Audio from the start,
Pete took over as manager of our Parkstone branch in 2000.
He has an active interest in music, especially the acoustic
genre and contributes to 'HiFi +' as a reviewer whenever
he can find the time. Pete's specific area of expertise
is HiFi system buliding.
Mathew Scott
Is our installation specialist from projector based home-cinema
to professional installation in pubs, clubs and wine bars.
He has expert knowledge in this complex area of the industry
having many years experience.

in the heart of a historically famous city very close to Salisbury
Catherdral, Salisbury HiFi is a very successful retailer of
both high end HiFi and A/V as well as the latest in Midi and
Micro systems. Among our a range of services we stock both
new and used equipment and have a qualified engineer on site.
We also have shops in Bournemouth and Poole under the 'Movement
Audio' banner. Further along the south coast is Weymouth HiFi,

Wallbridge (Manager)
Ted has been manager at Salisbury HiFi since June 2000.
He leads an experienced team.
Paul
Kimpton who has been in Hi-Fi retail since 1976 has
a particular experience with 2 Channel Stereo and Turntables.
Ed
Pearce is our resident Home Cinema specialist.
Kevin
Russell is the resident Engineer who also undertakes
installations and enjoys working on the shop floor when
we are busy.
