Innovation in the pursuit of reproducing recordings, so perfectly
they are indistinguishable from live performance, has been the KEF
philosophy since Raymond Cooke founded the company in 1961 and remains
at the heart of every KEF product today. Not least with the Q Series,
each generation of which has received accolades and awards from
the International Press.
The latest iteration of the award-winning series raises the bar
even higher, both subjectively and objectively. The unrivalled detailing
and off-axis performance of the new Uni-Q® point source array,
featuring the tangerine waveguide, enhances the frequency
response throughout the room and helps to deliver spine-tingling
realism.
All models benefit from remapped crossovers to ensure inaudibly
smooth transitions and the floor-standing models feature KEFs
new Dual Composite Cone material and labyrinth internal
damping to deliver faster tighter bass.
As front speakers for high-end home theatre or as a stereo pair,
the new iQ floorstanding models provide precise 3D imaging, breathtaking
dynamics and real depth while maintaining a tight and controlled
bass. All models have been meticulously engineered right down to
the discreet plinths on the floorstanders for greater stability.
The iQ10 and iQ30 models both offer a performance with lyricism
and depth not normally associated with bookshelf speakers and out
of all proportion to their modest size. The characteristically wide
dispersion of the Uni-Q makes them as easy to position as they are
to drive. Whether stand-mounted or on a shelf, as stereo loudspeakers
or as satellites in a 5.1 system, listening to them is like experiencing
your favourite tracks or movies for the first time.
The new Q Series is completed with a three-way centre channel that
can deliver clear and precisely located vocals and is the perfect
compliment to any Q Series home theatre system.
